Messy baby!

Ethan is eating oatmeal with mixed fruit. It is hard to get him to
eat more than a couple of bites of anything. We have a pretty good
time trying to feed him. He likes it when we clap our hands.

Back on track?

Breakfast was 3 hardboiled eggs, cheese and scrambled eggs, some
yogurt, a bite of wholewheat toast, and a glass of milk... And a glass
of oj.... Probably too much for one meal but we haven't had the chance
to stop and break for an inbetqeen meal. This training has been
intense! Lunch is pictured below:

Blogging from Oregon

So, I'm in Oregon this week for some training for work.  I'm missing our little boy and my wifey already!  Right now I'm watching the Phoenix Suns as they attempt to take the spurs tonight.  I've been in my hotel room since right after work and I've been playing around on the web with some new tools.  I'm trying hard to keep up with my diet while I'm here but it's hard sticking with the program without the aid of my fitness fridge :)  Lately my diet has consisted of a protein bar for breakfast, a protein shake for my mid morning snack, a can of tuna and some oatmeal for lunch, another protein bar or two, and maybe some real meal with protein and good carbs at night.   Today I got up shortly after 4am had a protein bar, then I had a breakfast burrito right before my meeting at 10am, then some lamb skewers for lunch, another protein bar, and a steak burrito for dinner.  I'm a little worried about my Stickk.com challenge for the week.  I'm going to try to make it down to the gym tonight.  It's cold and rainy here in Hillsboro today.... the sun came out briefly about 6:30pm... but I was headed back inside to watch the Suns lose to the Spurs.... Needless to say....

I'm disappointed....

and headed to bed now... depressed.

Wow.

I saw this at walmart the other day.... Seems like an odd
combination. But who am I to judge... I mean after all the ranch
dressing IS bacon flavored!

Out for a walk...

This picture was taken a few weeks back. Ethan loves to go for walks
in his stroller and get out and about! It's starting to get hot here
in AZ though so they will have to start to be early morning walks! He
is big enough now that he can sit upon the stroller without the car
seat. In this shot he's all gussied up in the outfit that granny
sweetpea bought him.... He's such a cutie pie!

We bought and stocked up a mini fridge for me! I packed it full of my healthy food so I don't have to be tempted by all the goodies in the main fridge! If you click on this photo and view it in Flickr you can see what each item is as you hover your mouse over it.

This is one of my favorite photos that Leann took this weekend... I don't know why, I just really like it! This was taken at Uncle Jamie's house... Ethan was in good spirits most of the time. We think he has Slapped cheek disease... his cheeks are rosy red and he has not been feeling 100% this weekend. We gave him some tylenol and he is now feeling much better!

So we've introduced rice cereal to Ethan over the last couple of days! Each time he gets better and better at it... Dad isn't so good at giving it to him yet, but Granny is a seasoned pro! She makes airplane noises that he loves! This picture was taken at uncle James' house last night... we spent the night at his house and hung out... we spent time watching movies (probably too many :) ) and we had a great dinner that Jamie cooked on the grill.

So, yesterday mom got into town on her long awaited visit. Ethan was very happy to see his grandma! Mom help change him within two minutes of coming into the house and was bathing him that night! :) We are all having a great time hanging out. Not a lot of plans mostly just hanging out. Today we are going to go have lunch with Jamie... tomorrow we will be getting some six month photos with Ethan. Anywho that's the skinny for now. More posts coming I'm sure!

Entertainment

Ethan learned how to turn on his music and light crib toy this
morning. He just has to kick it and it turns on. This was nice
because he woke up before we were ready for him. He is very happy in
the mornings.

New tricks

Ethan just learned how to play the music on his car seat by pushing
the eyes of the frog. He plays it over and over and over...

Doggers

The doggers miss josh and can't wait till he gets home to play with
them!

Frogger

We bought this frog before Ethan was born. I thought he would like
something different on his car seat so I put it on. He loved it. I
wonder if he remembers it from when he was younger...he he...that is
funny since he is only 5 months old.

Believe it or not this is a stitched together composite photo of a bunch of pictures I took with my iPhone. I did this with a really cool free piece of software that I downloaded from Microsoft called Windows Live Photo Gallery! It lets me publish (along with all my tags) directly to Flickr as well as doing this cool stitching thing. Basically you take overlapping photos and the software figures out how to put them together... then you can crop the picture so it looks like one photo and voila... you have an awesome composite!

It is easy to distract Ethan...he loves to sit up and is much happier
when he is reaching for things.

The dogs got bumped...ethan claimed the bed instead.
