The Holidays are Here!

We had a great Thanksgiving seeing josh's family and my family. We
went shopping the day after and we got a few gifts. We went to the
car show and walked around. So many neat cars.

Ethan's new favorite thing is to walk out the front door when we are
leaving the house. He loves walking up and down the driveway.

Weekend fun #2!

Weekend fun #1

So we headed up to dad's house for a day of fun stuff on Saturday!
Thing #1 that was fun: watching Ethan take down the low hanging
Christmas decorations faster than we could put them up!

Gobble Gobble

Mama

Yea, Ethan finally started saying Mama! Well, we have heard him make
the mmmmmm sound before, but he would always say dada after you said
mama.

As you can see, Ethan likes playing on our bed. He loves being pushed
into the pillows. It is always good to see him smile

Watch out!

Ethan is really starting his troublemaker stage. He is trying to
climb on things, open things and into everything. In fact, if I were
quicker with the camera, I would have caught him bent over in the bag
trying to crawl in.

He also really surprised me a few times today. He said eight really
loudly while he was counting the stairs with daddy and while we were
counting ladybugs...he didn't get it in the right place everytime, but
I could tell he was rrying to say it.

He also got the quack, quack, quack hand motion that I do during five
little ducks. He giggles everytime he got it.

The last thing was that he did the hand motions for open and close
during the wheels on the bus song. I think he learned that one at
school. Needless to say we had a good time getting ready for bed. It
is really nice to hold a sleeping boy in my arms...let's hope he
doesn't wake up when I put him down.

(yes, those are Halloween spider jammies...if they fit, he is wearing
them.)

Go ASU!

Josh, ethan and I had a great time tailgating for the ASU homecoming
game! Ethan and I came to hang out and tailgate then we went home.
Josh had a good time at the game....he lucked out and got to sit in
the expensive seats with free food! He said the view was about as
good as our season tickets...

Ethan was having a good time throwing the sundevil sticks on the
ground...what a cutie. His new thing his week is "ya". If you aak
him a question he will most like respond with a ya.

He also started to say thank you...can't pronounce it perfect, but I
know what he us saying.

Smarty Pants

Ethan loves the Monkey Tumbles book that Grandma Sweetpea gave him.
He is getting pretty good at dropping the little monkeys in the slots
of the book. He practices with both hands.

Ethan is learning new things every day. He can now say "no, ball &
dad". We think we have heard him say "bye bye, attack, outside, & back
(to the dogs to get out of his way). He still refuses to say mommy...

Ethan can walk really fast now, almost running. At least I can still
catch up! He is really good at crawling up the stairs and throwing
balls. He has also learned where his head and nose are...we are still
working on the other body parts.

Ethan eats almost everything we do now. His favorite food is cottage
cheese. He loves cheese, milk, yogurt melts, cheerios, goldfish,
hamburger/turkey, peas, toast and eggs. He is still unsure about ice
cream. He makes a funny face every time. He just learned how to
drink from a straw while we were in California.

He still loves music. He tries to sing "bumpity bump" from the
wheels on the bus. He also does all the hand gestures from Patty
Cake...his version of rolling is slapping his hands together. He has
done some hand movements to The Itsy Bitsy Spider, but not too often.
He will clap his hands to If your happy and you know it. He has also
improved his "E-I-e-I-o" for old mcdonald.

He is growing up so fast! He is moving into the big kids (toddler)
room at daycare next week. We are very excited. He will not have
any bottles during the day. In fact, we will no longer have to fix
sippies/bottles for him during the day. They don't have high chairs
or cribs in the new room, just small tables and chairs and cots for
them to sleep on. He has already been visiting in the new room and
really likes it. His old teachers will really miss him!

Silly boy

We are on our way home from a great night going to the Scottsdale car
show and dinner. We thought ethan was falling asleep, but he
surprised us with a clap. We were listening to goofy sing if your
happy and you know it clap your hands and ethan clapped during the
clapping part. He is always surprising us!

Loose Baby

Don't forget about the child safety locks! The other day I was
dropping Ethan off at daycare and someone pulled into the parking spot
next to me, so I closed myself in the back seat while I was getting
ethan out of the car seat. Duh...the child safety locks are on. I
had to let ethan loose in the back seat while I climbed in the front
to get us out. Luckily I was able to squeeze past the carseat and the
front seat. Felt pretty silly doing that with other parents around.
Won't make that mistake again...

Spooky Shirt

Here's Ethan in his super cute hallowen shirt. It lit up everytime he
moved. He learned to pat his belly everytime he wanted it to go off.

Trick or Treat

I am a little late posting the Halloween pics...Ethan was a lion...we
didn't get any good ones with his mane on. There was a bunch of
stuffing in the costume, so it was difficult strapping him in the
stroller. He liked touching the candy and chewing on the
wrappers...we didn't let him eat any of it though.
