Ethan or Baby Yoda?

Rocking Momma!

So Leann received a copy of Guitar Hero 3 for Christmas and has since spent at least 6 hours rocking out on the guitar playing that game. I think she likes it... and I can safely say that Ethan did a fantastic job of picking out a Christmas present for his mommy!

A new post!!!

So it's been a while since I've made a post in earnest... instead of just pictures sent from my phone. Since my last real post we've been pretty busy getting ready for Christmas. We've done a ton of shopping, taken Ethan for his first pictures, organized lots of block watch stuff, started our yearly planning sessions, organized our finances for next year, took pictures for our Christmas cards, and spent time oohing and ahhing over little Ethan. Speaking of that last one, we took him in for his two month checkup on the 20th and everything was fine. The doctor said that he looked fantastic! He took 4 shots in the thighs (two in each) as he got some of his vaccines. They weighed him and measured his height and he is in the 80th percentile for weight and 90th percentile for height! After lots of bleeding from one of the pokes and a fair amount of red faced crying he finally passed out and we spent the rest of the day shopping and delivering gifts to friends in Gilbert. Little Ethan was all dressed up in his Santa outfit that Bryan and Judy got us and he got lots of comments from the people at Kohls and from all our friends about how cute he looked!

Leann got a new camera for Christmas (opened early so we could use it to take our Christmas photos) so expect to see lots more photos and videos of little Ethan. This camera takes optimized video for YouTube and Leann can use it to snap off rapid fire shots of Little Ethan smiling up a storm... which he is now doing with great frequency! He woke us up a couple of times this week talking like a madman to himself in his crib for 30 minutes straight! He will gladly hold cooing conversations with you and will just melt your heart with his little smile if you are willing to listen to him and take the time to play with him... he is soooo much fun right now! He also almost rolled over on his own this last week.... he was on his belly for his tummy time when he decided to lift his head up and turn it and put it back over his right arm... since his head makes up probably 35% of his weight mos of the rest of his body followed and he was just about on his side. If he would only have kicked up his one leg I think he would have found himself staring up at the ceiling from his back!

Anywho, that's the skinny for now... we are late already for heading over to Kim and Paul's house (Jake is in town since yesterday and is staying with us for a week)... and we are picking up dinner. I'll post a few pictures with this real quick before I leave you.

Until next time.... Laters Gators!

Ethan is so cute! He was sleeping and moved his arm over his face. I
had to take a picture. Ethan & daddy are close to being fully
recovered from their cold. I'm glad to report that ethan only had a

The last few days...

First things first... this is josh posting for Leann... trying to get her to author her own posts. I invited her a long time about but she never posts!

Anywho, we've got a sick baby! It's been a really bad last couple of days (or good I suppose, depending on how you look at it). Ethan is in the middle of his first cold... and it's been tough! He had a fever last night of 101.4 and we gave him some baby Tylenol... and it worked well. It certainly brought down his fever. Leann had to run him over to the pediatricians office this morning and headed off to meet with some estate planning folks. Anywho, the Dr. said we were doing everything right... but that it could take 7 - 10 days for it to clear up! Luckily for me i'm married to SuperWoman! Leann has been nothing short of amazing these last few days. I don't know how she does it but she takes such great care of Ethan and it seems like she knows just what to do to calm him down when he is super fussy. A couple of times in the last few days Ethan has either woke up screaming or started screaming out of the blue... it's pretty tough for me to get him to calm down but Leann always seems to know what to do.

Anyways, i started this post by saying that it was a bad couple of days but if I step back and think about it... it's been a great learning experience and we still have a great little boy that isn't in big trouble with his health. Like my mom said... he's building immunities! I know it's making him stronger.

Thats the skinny for now. Hope you enjoy this image... it's a sample from iStockPhoto.com

Little Wolverine!

This is the outfit that Uncle Bryan sent to little Ethan and he is now wearing it proudly as it fits. Little Ethan will be 8 weeks old next Monday but he already fitting into 3 month old clothing! What a cutiepie he is! Aunt Cori says that he is getting chubby (but that it's good for a baby)... I say he's perfectly plump for his age! :)

Super Ethan and Super Teddy

So this is the bear that we go to take pictures with Ethan. The nurse in our birthing classes had the great idea of taking pictures with an object and Ethan over time to show how much he is growing. Well this is the object we choose. We went to "build-a-bear" and picked out this bear... I've posted this info before but just thought I would send it out again because this is such a cute picture!

Snoozer!

This baby boy enjoys his sleep.... and notice he is still in his halloween sleeper... because he loves it sooo much!

The last week...

So mom came into town on the 28th and just left this morning back to Michigan. We had a great time with her. We didn't really have anything much planned... just a lot of hanging out with Baby Ethan and relaxing. We also had a list of things that we wanted mom to help us out with and we got pretty much all of those done. As a bonus I was also playing Rainbow 6 Vegas online with Jamie each night until after midnight!

The first day we spent getting ready for a block watch meeting that I was hosting at the house. We had almost 15 people show up for the meeting! On Friday we went to the Chandler Mall and did a lot of shopping for baby clothes, baby toys, and some big boy toys as well (I got to go to Best Buy and the Apple Store). Saturday Leann and mom headed off to Cori's baby shower and Jamie came over and help me organize the garage a bit. He brought with him a giant tool chest that Dad had given me last Christmas but needed some fixing up. Jamie cleaned it up and organized all my tools. He also helped me put the halloween crates up in the attic and take down the Christmas crates. Lastly we moved the Christmas tree into the house. Sunday we cleaned up a bit, Direct TV came and installed satilite, we watched a lot of movies and we also went to home depot to buy some stuff to finish working on Ethan's room as well as the recovering of the kitchen stools. Mom did a fantastic job recovering the stools with a suede material and then a thick transparent plastic layer to keep them from being stained again. We spent Monday playing with Ethan in the morning and then Jamie came down in the afternoon and we ended up working on Ethan's room in the whole afternoon and into the evening. We got lots of good stuff done on his room. We put up the curtains that mom made (as well as hung the curtain rods), we put stickers and picture frames up, and we we have a giant wallpapered Superman on the wall now! Last night Jamie and mom said their goodbyes and Leann and I said goodbye to mom this morning as she made the long trek back to Lansing Michigan.

Anywho,
That's all for now.
