Ethan was watching Baby Einstein and then passed out.... he fell to the side onto his blanket and just stayed that way. I tried to move him into more of a laying position but he kept pulling his legs back up. I think he liked this better!

It's been a while since my last post. I've been sick and we've been super busy. I thought I would post this cute picture that Leann just snapped a minute ago (captured and uploaded using my EyeFi card which is super cool). He's been having a rough day today.... he was happy being back at home after our trip to CostCo. Leann also took a great video of him giggling as she poked him in the belly.... I'll try to upload that real soon (EyeFi doesn't do video.... boo...). Anywho, Ethan is doing fantastic post Catheter removal...

Leann was a superstar this week taking care of Ethan pretty much by herself while I was down and out with a flu / cold that I'm still trying to get over. I'm so glad this is a long weekend. I spent the last 3 days working from home.... and was probably only about a 1/4 as productive as I normally am. Being sick stinks!

Anywho that's the skinny for now.

Feet

Ethan figured out how to play with his carseat toys with his feet. He
was unstrappwd of course. He doesn't want to sit down lately. He
can't wait to walk, but he doesn't even crawl yet.

Super Messy

Ethan likes these toys for more than squirting water. Ethan loves
these squirt toys that eric & Chelsea got him. He has some in the
toy box and some in the bath. He likes getting squirted during bath
time.

It's HOT in Phoenix today!

Check out the reading at the top right of this picture! Okay, so my
thermometer in the car is probably off... But it was supposed to get
up to 110 today!

Ethan has been at home with mom and dad the whole week. I've gotten into the habit ,the last few days, of putting him in his play pen and putting on a baby Einstein dvd. You can see here he's enjoying it.... just lounging watching the movie. In all honesty he just fell over and can't yet get himself back up. :)

Leann bought Ethan a play table for him to stand up to and play with. It's super cool.... but since he doesn't really stand on his own yet he has to enjoy it with Mom's help!

Ethan's Cousin, MaKenna, is in town this week and they are having a good time playing together. MaKenna has the advantage though as she is mobile and can crawl around and stand up on things. At one point I caught her crawled on top of him and stealing his binky! :)

The Rock Band Video....

by popular request here it is.... 10 minutes in length.... some funny stuff just watch the whole thing. A little tidbit.... right after the video ends (Because I had reached the magic youtube 10 minutes and the video stopped) Zach had a beer spilled all over his back by accident. Aubrey the little girl in the background jumped on Jason and party foul beer spill ensued on the scotch guarded couch and zach's shirt.

I love sleep....

So, we've had the munchkin back from surgery for two days now and personally... I'm spent!
We have to give him 3 different types of medication about every 4 hours and whew! It's tough to keep up. We (especially me) have been catching up on sleep here and there where we can. Lots of little one or two hours naps here and there. Today is mother's day and we haven't done anything really excited for Leann today. I got her some gifts that she really liked but i didn't even go out and buy a card (I know I'm a terrible husband).... although I think the card is less important to Leann than spending time together is. We had a good time last night spending time together playing with her new mother's day gift as a family.... A ROCK BAND FAMILY! Yup, that's one of the things that I got for Leann for Mother's day, a special edition rock band game for the XBOX! It comes with another Guitar, a Drum Set, and a microphone for singing. We rocked out last night and I took some funny videos that I'll be posting to YouTube shortly. For now here are some pics of our "mother's day" family event.

Wow. Ethan started on carrots last week. We actually started him on Peas today but I didn't get a photo of that. This is pretty much how each meal ends lately... with about half of it on his face and bib (and probably another quarter on his toys.).

Today Leann and I opened the box for a high chair that got shipped to us for our baby shower. We had wondered who it was from since we got it but there weren't any notes attached and the delivery guy didn't tip us off. However, when we did open it up to put it together today we realized that their was a note on the inside! So thanks a bunch Laura! The note inside had your billing address and a nice note from your whole family! Thanks again, Ethan loves it and is having a great time playing and eating in it. It has wheels on it and I zoomed him around the kitchen after his mom today... we went around the island about three times and I think he really liked it!

Back at home now...

Ethan is doing very well.  He is very happy, smiley, and wants to play.... which is great!   I keep telling him that they promised at the hospital that he would be sleepy all day so we could get lots of work done! :) 

Turns out it was a bit more involved than originally thought... not a big deal but it means a 2 week recovery with the catheter in instead of 1 week.  Anywho, that's the skinny for now.  Just wanted to send out a quick update.

Big day today...

So today is the day we've been dreading since Ethan was born.  Today he goes in for "minor surgery".  The pediatrician says that it's no big deal but the surgeon assured us that it is still surgery and carries certain risks.  We will be taking him in for an out patient procedure that takes about 2 hours with another hour of recovery  time.  Then we will head back home for a week of recovery time complete with a catheter!  Keep us in your thoughts and prayers.  Here's a picture of the munchkin that we took

Silly Boy!

Ethan started eating carrots this week. He seemed to like them more
than the cereal, bananas and applesauce we have given him. He was
having a good time playing with his toys. He
thought of was cool that he could stick his toungue through the toy.

I thought he was tired

I put him in his bed while he was still awake and he fell asleep.

Lunch today!

Napper

Ethan is taking a nap in his vibrating chair on daddy's desk. He fell
asleep watching baby Einstein and let mommy call into a meeting.

Ethan is still tired this morning before breakfast. He has a fever
and was up for a bit in the middle of the night.
