Halloween 2009

We just had a great Halloween here at the Cork household! Ethan dressed up as a Cowboy, Leann was.... um creative?, and I had my usual Great Pumpkin shirt on.

We had lots of trick-or-treaters but not as many as last year. Aynsley & Nicholas stopped by and had a good time going door to door with Ethan, Leann, and their mom. We got out the Spirit Ball again and scared some kiddos and entertained some others. The Spirit Ball is a talking head in a big clear ball ... that looks a lot like Ed McMan... it has a speaker and a wireless microphone so we set it out by the sidewalk and talk to the trick-or-treaters as the walk up! You know, like "Hey Superman! Cool costume!" -- Some of the kids, and some of the parents too, are like .... how are they doing that? It's lots of fun! We also had out the fog machine, the strobe light, the black light, and a big green spiderweb. Ethan had a great time and said by to all the kids in costumes as the left along with "Happy Halloween" when they arrived! He had tons of fun passing out candy and being a ham as people came up to the door. All-in-all it was a great Halloween!

We had a great one! I worked all day on setting up the front of the house and will post more pictures soon. I had some teenage girls pose with a digital camera they had with some of our decorations and claim very enthusiastically that the pictures were going up on myspace right away. I also had a floating head in a globe down by the street and I sat back in the corner of the patio wearing all black. I had a wireless microphone hooked up the the floating head and when I talked through the microphone my voice would come out of his mouth and his head would bob around and his eyes would glow! People loved that thing. I freaked a couple of parents out I think. :) I also had a ground fog machine that went off automatically every 2 minutes. I think we had the best house in the neighborhood!

After we brought all the stuff in at 9pm I we put Ethan in his halloween outfits (yes, we had more than one) and took some great pictures!

I'm sitting here glued to my computer listening to Allison Dubois on KISS FM. Wow, this is good stuff. Some of these people that are calling in seem pretty goofy. I'm going to go up in the atic and pull down a bunch of our Halloween stuff to set up the outside of the house for tonight with the Trick or Treaters. Tonight I'm also going to be handing out sheets for the neighborhood block watch for people to sign up to be street capitans as well as give the block watch information in case anyone sees something that is happening to or near somone's house we can then let them know.
